What is this?

This is a space to group all my resources and ideas about art (specifically drawings, since writings already have their own category).

Resources

Anatomy 4 sculptors are reference books for sculptors but they are also useful for artists. There are some pretty interesting things in the images and examples of how to make your bugs more dynamic and natural. Super cool actually. It also helps with depth.
This video on composition. It is quite complete. It is very difficult to find such direct and useful videos, highly recommended.
Naoki Saito's channel. This guy has helped me a lot and he keeps teaching me new things. He lost his previous channel without notice so he is re-uploading old videos (I think, the intro is not translated so I don't know for sure), but they are still super helpful so if you are stuck I recommend you to watch his corrections.
Pixel art material for Blender. I think it's pretty self-explanatory, but if not, here is a tutorial to use it.
Video for basic anatomy and arms. I found this video great for explaining how the arms and torso work at a simple beginner level, in case anyone suffers too much with that!
Resources for Krita. Krita 5 is the program I use for all my drawings. It's free and has a lot of cool features, like resources for making comics and such. It takes a bit of getting used to because things like "clipping layers" exist only in groups instead of on a particular button, but once you figure out how to do everything you love about your program, you'll be all over it for sure. The resource link is where I get all my brushes, filters and textures from. I highly recommend Awez, RamonM and Enjerune, but I'm sure there are a bunch more that are super cool and I don't know them!

Reflections

- [2023/09/03] I once saw, I think on the English website that I have linked on my home page, that you could put thumbnails linking to the full drawing in the art section and I thought it was really cool. So maybe I'll try to do that here instead of relying on having square drawings, that looks really crappy.

- [2023/05/07] Today I was thinking about the drawings that look like 3d and so on. I really should study anatomy and form because my drawings look very flat and disproportionate. There's something about them that makes them not catch the eye, make them look ugly. Besides anatomy would be useful to learn how to do nsfw.... I've been wanting to :(.

- [2023/05/30] Reading my previous reflection, I don't see that I have improved at all.I'm going to blame it on the University, I'm sure I'll start doing designs in the summer.

- [2023/06/20] The truth is that I have come to use a lot of drawing programs with the nonsense.IbisPaint, HiPaint, MSPaint, Medibang, Firealpaca, ClipStudio Paint, Krita, Guimp, TuxPaint, Corel Painter, PaintTool SAI... Some more meme than others, but I have a good track record. I've tried paid and free versions, I've also tried Live2D Cubism, Blender and Paint 3D, but I don't really like animating.
I think what I liked the most when I was very little was TuxPaint, then Medibang and finally, when I grew up, Krita. And if I had to recommend a mobile one right now, I would say that Hipaint is more comfortable than ibis, although quite a few people would disagree. But of course that's my user opinion, nothing more.Maybe I'll talk about that later in some article.

- [2023/07/02] I think I'm going to learn how to animate vtuber models with inochi2d.It would be pretty cool to be able to do something like that and I think supporting the program with animation examples would encourage more people to use it.
